As a child I liked the box more than the toy inside. The toy inside was already named, while the box could become anything I imagined

I am enamored with "Tramp Art". I am unable to walk swiftly past a thrift shop, salvage yard or even sometimes a pile of trash. My artwork springs from this lifelong fasination with cast off items.

The power, mystery and symbolism of the discards of ones life intrigue me. I seek to breath new life into items once thought of as useless. The message of my art is redemption and salvation.

I juxtapose common material with complex issues. Thus my work strives to make the whole more than the sum of the parts.

I want to stimulate the viewer's perception about beauty and the value of the mundane.

My work is a celebration of the ordinary.
